Helping you get back to your day-to-day routine.
Occupational therapy focuses on the ability to engage in meaningful activities of daily living such as self feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and domestic or home management skills. Our occupational therapists provide retraining using compensatory techniques and adaptive devices as needed.
Hand therapy and splinting can be provided for upper extremities. The ultimate goal of occupational therapy is to provide a means of greater independence and improve patient quality of life. Occupational therapists help the patient regain independence with self care, upper extremity function and cognitive abilities.
The occupational therapy plan of care relies heavily on interaction between the patient, family, physician and the NHC HomeCare team. All services are designed to assist in regaining independence or help with disabilities and self-care activities.
